It is commonly known that men become complacent and stuck in their ways, especially in the Black community. You are never too young or old to create or have new experiences. Learning does not stop at school. Challenge yourself and continue to gain knowledge for the rest of your life.
Even though Black men are heavily criticized for how they treat their women, due to the daily depictions of the African-American household in media. Nevertheless, it is still Black men’s responsibility to respect and treat their women like queens. Always remember that she could be someone’s daughter, mother, aunt, cousin, significant other or even coworker. Listen to her when she is expressing yourself and do your best to protect her from harm.
Express Your Emotions (Do Not Let It Simmer)
It is a perceived notion that men should not wear their emotions on their sleeves. But it is 2018, the human race has evolved and gender roles are becoming bleak. No more telling boys to “man up” when it is not a feasible situation. Men should not have to bury their emotions out of fear of being teased, dismissed, or judged. Black men, if you ever feel devalued or taken for granted, you should set boundaries and express your frustrations effectively. For example, if you feel that you are not getting the respect you deserve at work, in a relationship, or from a family member set a to meet and explain how you feel without showing too many emotions. Sometimes showing too many emotions can lead to both sides not getting their point across, so think about what you are going to say before you say it. Avoid arguments!

If fail to do so or lack of action, it could to missed opportunities, depression, chronic diseases or even an early death. So please make monthly doctor visits, see a therapist, eat and exercise efficiently, and call that one friend you have not spoken to in a while. A wise person once said: “Life is too short.”
Manage Your Self-Doubt
Have you ever heard the saying “you are your worst enemy.” People tend to not give themselves the opportunity to succeed. They either care about what others think or they talk themselves out of finishing a task. When this happens just think to yourself that you have to be your biggest fan or just jump into the task head first and worry about the nooks and crannies later. Besides, you are going to be “you” for the rest your life, so do whatever you can to make the most of it. However, it is crucial to be practical about your decision-making abilities, because you do not want a decision to negatively affect your life or someone that depends on you.
Now, Black men, take these requirements and live your best life.
