College Grad Gets Hilarious Response After Texting the Wrong Number
The response was priceless!
A tweet has the internet laughing pretty hard. South Carolina native Justin Campbell recently graduated from Coastal Carolina University and wanted to share his accomplishment with friends and family. However, he accidentally sent a graduation picture to the wrong person and received a surprising response.
“I just put one number in the wrong place,” said Campbell in the BuzzFeed News.
According to BuzzFeed News, Campbell sent the picture to a father of three named Roger Hawkins. He is real estate agent from Columbia, South Carolina.
“I was on the way home, and I got a text message from an unknown number, and it was a couple of guys in graduation clothes,” said Hawkins in a BuzzFeed News interview.
Hawkins replied with an encouraging selfie and a link to motivational speeches as an alternative to texting “wrong number.” Then Campbell responded by texting: “MY GUY!!!”
Later that day, the 23-year-old uploaded the dialogue between them onto Twitter, and the tweet went viral with over 26,000 retweets and 78,000 favorites. Hundreds of Twitter users interacted with the tweet and major media sites such as BuzzFeed, ABC Columbia, and WPDE ABC15 featured the story.
