He is not the average depicted flashy hip-hop artist in the modern era. Materialistic vices do not phase the young rapper because growing up in Long Beach, California influenced Staples’ mindset.
On Aug. 10, the popular YouTube series Hot Ones (presented by First We Feast) had Staples as a special guest, and the episode was filled with witty jokes and genuine laughter. The show consists of celebrities eating hot wings with Hot One’s host and Complex reporter Sean Evans.
Staples spoke about his critically acclaimed second album, Big Fish Theory, as well as the positives and negatives of the music business.
